100 gecs set the room ablaze with "Hollywood Baby"

New gecs is here! Following the release of the genre-bending singles “mememe” and “Doritos & Fritos,” 100 gecs has unveiled “Hollywood Baby,” the latest track from their forthcoming LP 10,000 gecs (out Mar.17). Teeming with caffeinated rhythms and nostalgia-laced guitar riffs, the song evokes early Sum 41 and Lit. “Hollywood Baby” also features drum virtuoso Josh Freese manning the skins, whose resumé includes everyone from Guns N’ Roses and Devo to Nine Inch Nails and Weezer.

Alongside the single, the duo comprised of Laura Les and Dylan Brady shared its music video. The frenetic visual features the band thrashing around in their apartment and setting off fireworks before it finishes off with psychedelic visuals helmed by frequent collaborator Weston Allen

Following the release of 10,000 gecs, the duo will also embark on a massive headlining tour with support from Machine Girl and Fever Ray. The 31-date tour kicks off April 4 in San Jose, CA.

Because you may have heard “Hollywood Baby” live or been listening to rips of it online for a few years now, (finally!) check out the music video for fan-favorite track below.
