10 Things You Didn't Know about Silverstein's 'Discovering The Waterfront'

It has been more than ten years since Silverstein released Discovering The Waterfront with Victory Records.  In this video, frontman Shane Told speaks on ten things you may not (but totally need to) know about the album.

The singer shares the experience of recording next door to Bon Jovi in Los Angeles, incorporating a member of Yellowcard in the title track and which songs almost didn’t make the record. Told also tells the tales behind writing “My Heroine” and “Smile In Your Sleep,” as well as how the book The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold inspired him. It turns out that he was having murderous dreams at the time, too.

“I woke up and I didn't really remember where I was or that we had flown,” the singer explains. “It had all felt like this weird dream, but part of my dream was that I had murdered my girlfriend at the time.”
