Barsuk has signed Austin, Texas indie rockers The Wooden Birds. The band features Andrew Kenny of the American Analog Set, and is planning to release their debut LP, Magnolia, in May.

Cartel frontman Will Pugh will contribute guest vocals on the upcoming full-length from New Hartford, New York, outfit the Doppler Effect. TDE had this to say in a MySpace blog:
