1. Highly Suspect premiered a new track from from their forthcoming sophomore album, The Boy Who Died Wolf. Listen to “Wolf” and see what vocalist/guitarist Johnny Stevens had to say about it below!

‘I like to dream because dreams don't lie’—In fact dreaming is one of my favorite things to do. Mine are always so extremely vivid. We often say that real life is real and dreams aren't. But what's the difference? Both states of consciousness rely on the mind's perception of what's real. ‘Wolf’ is a song about dreams, but it's also a song about my real life, which reads very much like a dream. Not in a good way or a bad way, but our journey expands, I make less and less distinction between what was once only possible when I was asleep, and what's possible now when I'm awake. It all flows. It's also a salute to my youth and to those I've had to let go. ‘I was born to rock and now I gotta roll’—This song is structured like a dream too. Ever changing and unpredictable. And at the end you ‘wake up’.

The Boy Who Died Wolf is due out next Friday, Nov. 18. Pre-order it here!

2. British rockers Don Broco released their new record, Automatic, for the first time in North America on Nov. 11 via SharpTone Records. Alongside its worldwide release, the group also hinted towards a 2017 U.S. tour and dropped the music video for the title track of the album. Check it out below!

4. Via Instagram, Northlane celebrated the fifth anniversary of their debut album Discoveries by announcing the writing for their new album is done. Read the reflection, written by guitarist Josh Smith below:

Today is quite a milestone for Northlane, it is exactly 5 years since our debut record Discoveries came out. I remember what it was like for us back then, sleeping on floors, touring in our tiny little van around every town in the country and sending out endless demos to record labels in the hope somebody would pay attention to us. We lost our day jobs, a few relationships and alternative career options in the process. We paid for the recording ourselves out of what savings we had left in the hope we could shop it to labels. Eventually somebody believed in us and everything changed. We signed to UNFD and brought out the album soon after. Within two years we’d made a name for ourselves in Europe, the UK, Canada and the United States. Not long after we started paying ourselves a wage, however paltry it was. Even that record cycle feels like forever ago but it made us who we are today, made us appreciate every morsel of success we’ve had since and even more so the hardship that came before it. In the last 5 years we’ve had immense ups and downs as a band, in some cases pushed on where most would have quit but it’s never felt more worth it than now. We’ve just finished writing our fourth record and we couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve achieved. We think it’s our best to date and encompasses all we are and ever have been as a band. We can’t wait to share it with you next year. There’s a message behind all of this, follow your dreams and don’t give up on them no matter what because I promise you, it will always be worth it. – Josh

22. In light of this past week’s events, To Write Love On Her Arms shared a post titled “An Open Letter to Those Afraid of What Comes Next.” Read it the full statement here and an excerpt below.

These are your questions:
Can you help us? Can you help LGBT youth get through these rough looking four years? Can you spread the word for surviving?
This is our answer:
We will do everything in our power to help you.
We will do everything we can to make sure that people of color and members of the LGBT community know that there are people fighting for them, that we are fighting for them. We will do everything possible to spread the word that there are reasons to keep living. We believe that hope and help are real. We believe that love is the movement. We believe that better days are ahead. And we believe that you are enough.
If you are reading this and are feeling hopeless, please know that we’re holding the hope for you, and we will continue to do so as long as there is fear or ignorance or hatred in the world. There is nothing wrong with you. There is nothing wrong with who you are, where you come from, what religion you do or don’t believe in, what you look like, or who you love.
You matter.
Your life matters.
We need you here, and the world needs you here.
