It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Halloween is approaching, the AP kitchen is stacked with skeletons wielding candy (pictured), seasonal shops and vintage stores are opening their doors to the costume-seeking and we’re all prepping for our grand disguise on devil’s night.

Unless, of course, you follow the “Halloween every day” philosophy like the following experts who would all make the perfect fashion advisers in your costume seeking.

Perhaps the AFI of today couldn’t help you so much with your creepy look, but holy falsies, Havok. Check out “Love Like Winter” for inspiration for your evil ice queen look.

If it’s dark cabaret you want, look to the theatrical and beautiful Emilie Autumn for inspiration.

THE BIRTHDAY MASSACRE

If purple is your favorite color and you steadfastly believe you can remain creepy enough to carry a name like “Chibi” or “Rainbow,” go with these guys and gal.

BLACK VEIL BRIDES

They may not dress up as much as they used to, but their former look–their elaborate spin on KISS–proves they still have the chops to dress it up spectacularly for Halloween.

On second thought, if you go on any sort of excursion with Wil Francis’ alter ego, you might just end up in a dungeon somewhere. So, if you’re into that…

This dynamic duo would make for a hilarious Halloween entourage. Not only is Frank Iero’s birthday actually on Halloween, but he also played Frankenstein’s monster in James Dewees’ Reggie And The Full Effect video for “J Train.” Plus, if you’ve seen this duo live, you know how prevalent gore and horror are in their art.

FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS

These dudes give off mixed signals. Their name (a Bad Brains reference) would imply that they are killing the vampires, but their looks–of which each of the five members have their own–might suggest they may be the ones actually getting killed…

From the stories I’ve heard, ICP are actually nice, solid dudes, and they’ve been practicing clown makeup for longer than I’ve existed on this planet.
