Exclusive: Ricky Ostolaza (Dr. Acula) on the band's "offensive" merch

Earlier this month we opened up discussion on the benefits and drawbacks of “offensive” band merch. There was a lot of great discussion among our readers, and we began reaching out to bands known for their provocative merch for comments on the issue.

“Dr. Acula has some of the most offensive merch around! We love putting a little shock value into everything we do as a band, so merch is no different. Our fans love it. Whenever we design a shirt, we always think about what a parent would hate for their kid to buy and then we make it because kids love to be offensive and rebel against their parents. Our top selling re-occurring merch item says 'FUCK ALL YOUR FRIENDS'…”
