Dave Grohl plays surprise set with Rick Astley in London
Foo Fighters have been known to perform surprise sets at tiny clubs for some time now, but Dave Grohl appears to have done so with help of someone else this time.
The legendary musician performed at London’s Moth Club with none other than ’80s pop star Rick Astley.

The pair joined together for the return of NME‘s Club NME for a special performance including Foo’s tracks, Astley’s signature song “Never Gonna Give You Up” and more.
“I’ve been a friend of the people at the NME for a long, long time,” Grohl says as he makes his way on stage. “When I walked in tonight, everyone said: ‘What are you gonna do?’ I said, ‘I have no fucking clue.’ So tonight we’ll play a couple of songs. I can’t believe how many people are here. We might have to do more than one fucking song!”

Astley joined Grohl on stage to play drums for “Times Like These,” “Everlong,” “Best Of You,” and of course the classic Astley track.
“I don’t know much about Club NME,” Dave says, “but I know you’re not gonna see this anywhere else.”

While this might seem like the most elaborate Rick-roll ever, it really happened.
