Paris Texas thrive as one of hip-hop’s most unpredictable duos, and today they’re unleashing a whole new era with their explosive single “PANIC!!!”
The track follows a freestyle video that Louie Pastel and Felix dropped last week and serves as the first preview of their debut album, which is coming later this year. “PANIC!!!” features their blaze of alternative rock, punk, and hip-hop dialed up, conjuring the energy of a packed warehouse show. But it’s the song’s final line that offers a statement of intent for the project: “I’mma keep on doing this shit till it soak in.”

Meanwhile, the video opens up on a merciless mosh pit where people get kicked in the chest and burned by cigarettes. Things get more horrific when someone loses an arm, a body sits in a pool of blood, and gunshots ring out. Suddenly, the visual jumps to the duo cruising through Los Angeles in an old-school Sedan, and the music turns melancholy. “I can’t even plan on a daughter/I lost the love of my life for this job,” Pastel sings, teasing another unreleased song.
