Korn review, approve new Twenty One Pilots, Britney Spears songs—watch

Billboard sat down for an interview with Korn frontman Jonathan Davis, drummer Ray Luzier and bassist Fieldy, during which they reviewed and approved of popular artists, such as Twenty One Pilots and even Britney Spears.

The members also talked about their collaboration on the track “A Different World” with Slipknot's Corey Taylor and why Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl was in the studio with them while recording their new album album The Serenity Of Suffering (details here). On Twenty One Pilots' “Heathens,” Korn says, “It's awesome. Killer melodies, the programming's sick—it's just a good song.”

“It was a text message at the right time,” Davis says about the collaboration with Taylor. About Grohl, Luzier says, “…Sure enough, we’re in the middle of a take and the door pops open, and he’s standing there with his cane, and he just came and was saying how much he’s been watching us on YouTube and checking out the live shows.” 

“He’s just a great guy, I really look up to that dude.”

In the interview, Korn also talks more about The Serenity Of Suffering, including the inspiration behind the title and album art, along with the recording process.
