Overrated Band of 2011

Overrated Band of the Year:

Black Veil Brides

“Their new album left much to be [desired]. The concept is the same behind every song. They did not grow.” – Melany Javier, Bronx, NY

Says frontman Andy Biersack about the award: “I think it’s kind of funny that people feel so strongly about this they want to make it known. We’re not trying to convince everybody in the world that what we do is ‘right’ – we believe that what we do is right, and if people disagree, that’s their prerogative. The funny thing is that oftentimes people hate us for reasons that aren’t even true! Often I’ll see comments from people saying things like I hate bands like Brokencyde, Blood On The Dance Floor and Black Veil Brides. I’m sorry, but what is the similarity there in terms of musical content? I think that the frustration for some people comes from the fact that they don’t really know what the hell we are – and that’s kinda fun for us, too.”
