Pete Wentz launches DCD2 Records

Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz announced today the next chapter for his label, Decaydance Records. The label is being rebranded and relaunched as DCD2 Records. The first artists to sign with the label are LOLO (who was featured on Panic! At The Disco's “Miss Jackson“) and New Politics (who will be on tour with Fall Out Boy and Paramore this summer). Check out a full statement from Wentz below:

“the idea behind the label originally was a gang, something that would be us versus the world… i took a few years off the same time the band did but i didnt stop listening to new music… i always felt like it was my responsibility to nurture and magnify the profile of other artists… today we begin doing that again. today i want to announce DCD2- this is the next chapter, the renaissance, and i’d like to welcome New Politics and LOLO to the family. i feel like i have more time to devote to this again and the state of music is so exciting right now. though we are launching this independently we are open to working with people who are dedicated, passionate and interested in finding new ways to operate. stay tuned for more announcements coming soon.

welcome to decade 2. DCD2.

PW”

Wentz gave a full interview about the label to Rolling Stone. DCD2 artist LOLO has a new video out today for her song “Hit And Run.” Check it out below, and let us know what you think.
