Original Story — Sunday Nov. 11, at 1 p.m. EST:
Aerosmith guitarist, Joe Perry, was reportedly taken to the hospital after collapsing in his dressing room following a surprise appearance at a Billy Joel concert.

Perry surprised audiences after showing up during Joel’s Madison Square Garden concert Saturday, and performing “Walk This Way” with Joel and his band.
According to TMZ, Perry collapsed in his dressing room shortly after the performance. Paramedics reportedly attended to the musician for 40 minutes, including “placing a tracheal tube down his throat to clear the air path.” He was then taken from the venue and rushed to a New York hospital, where he has since been hospitalized.
Perry’s current condition is unknown, though radio host Eddie Trunk tweeted: “I’m hearing he’s doing well today thankfully.”

Previous Hospitalization
This isn’t the first time Perry has collapsed backstage at a show. Back in June 2016, the musician lost consciousness during a Hollywood Vampires concert in Coney Island, New York. Dehydration and exhaustion were blamed as the cause.
“It’s starting to scare me a little bit,” bandmate Steven Tyler told Rolling Stone at the time. “I know my brother. He’s just about the only other guy that’s as passionate about his art as I am.
“He’s always asking me to do three, four [Aerosmith] shows in a row, and I can’t. I’ll blow my voice out. I know how to maintain my career, my health and Joe’s passionate. I don’t think he knows how to. I think he’s out there and someone’s overbooking him.”
