Alcoa_-_2014

Alcoa (solo project of Defeater’s Derek Archambault) recording sophomore album

Alcoa, the solo project of Defeater frontman Derek Archambault, are currently in the studio at The Office in North Andover, Massachusetts, recording the follow up to their 2013 debut, Bone And Marrow. The impending effort will feature instruments such as an upright bass, banjo, fiddle, pedal steel and piano/organ, along with guest vocals from Derek's wife, Alyssa Archambault.

Over the summer, Derek launched a PledgeMusic campaign to raise funds that will go toward paying off the costs of his hip replacement surgery. In the past, issues with his hip have prevented him from touring; most recently forcing Defeater to drop off their spring tour as support for the Wonder Years.
