All Time Low just joined in on that viral "Dear Maria" TikTok trend—watch

Over the past few weeks, All Time Low‘s “Dear Maria, Count Me In” has been at the center of a viral TikTok trend.

Now, Rian Dawson, Alex Gaskarth and Jack Barakat are finally getting in on the TikTok action.

For years now, TikTok users have gotten creative with their content especially when it comes to music. Over the past few months, we’ve seen viral trends using various Paramore songs including “All I Wanted” and Fake Happy.” As well, Taylor Swift‘s folklore quickly went viral on TikTok after creatives began sharing their pop-punk renditions of some of her new songs.

Now, All Time Low’s classic “Dear Maria, Count Me In” is at the center of a new viral TikTok trend. Back in December, TikTok user @yungricepatty proved that liking this type of music isn’t “just a phase” and shared his video featuring the All Time Low song. Since its release, the video has received over 2 million likes and over 8.5 million views.

The video helped kickstart the viral “it’s not a phase” TikTok trend where music listeners share videos of them belting the All Time Low classic that was released in 2007.

Finally, earlier this month, Alex Gaskarth revealed just what he thinks of the viral trend.

“I always knew ‘Dear Maria’ would be a massive TikTok song when we wrote it in 2006.”

Now, All Time Low are actually getting involved in the “Dear Maria” TikTok movement. This past week, Rian Dawson, Alex Gaskarth and Jack Barakat have all shared their own version of the viral trend.

The first video shows Barakat screaming “MOM IT WAS NEVER A PHASE” into the camera while Gaskarth shouts “IT’S A LIFESTYLE” over the iconic song as the duo cruise down the road. The video has already been viewed over 5 million times.

Then, on Wednesday, Rian Dawson shared his own take on the trend. He posted a TikTok to All Time Low’s account of him bashing away on the drums.

However, this isn’t the only trend All Time Low are now included in. “Dear Maria, Count Me In” also just got reworked into a “pop-punk shanty.” @sampopemusic shared a new version of the song this week, something that All Time Low knew would happen sooner or later.
