While the temperature continues to drop, we can’t help but reflect on our favorite fall fashion moments. We’ve rounded up some of the season’s most popular pieces to see what fashion and beauty looks you’ll want to try if you haven’t yet already.

Lovely leather

There’s truly nothing more badass than a leather jacket covered in studs—and the proof is right here. (And we’d also like to take a second to appreciate Andy Biersack’s Johnny Faust rocking the baddest studs in American Satan.) It’s an edgy take on the leather classic, and we’re all about piling on the bling.

Cropped sweatshirts

Cropped sweatshirts are the winter version of our favorite summer staple: The crop top. The cropped sweatshirt (or sweater!) is the seasonal mainstay that’ll last long into winter, guaranteed. Not to mention, it’s the perfect DIY: Grab your old-but-trusty hoodie and give it a few snips. You’ll be on-trend in no time.

Boxy silhouettes

We might be partial to skinnies, but fall was dedicated to the boxy silhouettes that are both comfy and stylish. If you haven’t hopped on board yet, you’ll want to do that before winter rolls around.

Rockstar roses

The Maine are all about “Modern Nostalgia,” and LANY have their flowers on the floor, but this fall has been all about decking ourselves in in the classic rose from head to toe. Whether it be picking up a beautifully crafted merch design (thanks, the Maine!) or DIY decking your denim in rose patches, it’s been a trend that’s stolen our hearts.

Activist apparel

Fashion has always been about making a personal statement, and now it’s as important as ever. Activism and street style worlds have collided to create trends that are stylish and have a message, proving these statement-making pieces have been one of the most important trends of the season.

It’s true: We’ve always been about smokey eyes and bold lips. But this season has proven to be the resurrection of the trends in the mainstream, and Pale Waves’ Heather Baron-Gracie is just one person proving how glam goth can be.

Moody florals

Toned down florals give the seasonally warm print a bit of a cool down; and by popping the moody floral pattern on a dress, sweater or anything in between, it combines a touch of attitude with a whole lot of pretty.

Fashion-forward fishnets

Fishnets have been a mainstay in the alternative fashion world, and while they’re bubbling up into the mainstream, alt fashionistas are finding ways to dress up and dress down the accessory to fit the mood, no matter the occasion. Little black dress? Fishnet-approved. Destroyed denim skinnies? Also fishnet-approved.

Bold shadow

We’d like to thank Paramore and the After Laughter era for this one. Hayley Williams has been rocking some bright and bold makeup on tour this fall in support of the band’s latest album, and clearly we’re all taking notes and giving equally bright and bold shades a go.

Camo cool

Camoflage in every color, style and fit have been spotted out and about this fall. Whether you’re rocking a gray-tinted camouflage design on a top, grabbing a studded vintage camo jacket or tossing on camo cargos, you’ll be on-trend no matter how you rock the look.
