fall out boy or panic at the disco

Known as two-thirds of the emo trinity, Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco have been victims of tragic mix-ups for years now. Remember when a Jeopardy! contestant sent a chill through our emo hearts after suggesting that “High Hopes” was written by Fall Out Boy?

While unfamiliar fans may be unable to tell Pete Wentz’s eyeliner from Brendon Urie’s, die-hard FOB and P!ATD fans can recall the real (and drunk) history of both bands. However, the similarities between both acts run deep, including their love for long and complicated song titles.

Slated to hit the road with Green Day and Weezer on next year’s Hella Mega tour, Fall Out Boy are also gearing up for their release of Greatest Hits: Believers Never Die Volume Two.

To backtrack, FOB unveiled their new song “Dear Future Self (Hands Up)” as a part of the gigantic Hella Mega announcement. FOB previously released Volume One in November 2009. Preorders are available here.
