The remake of An American Werewolf In London, which made its original premiere in 1981, comes just in time for its 35th anniversary. Deadline reports that the remake has been finalized after the elder Landis and Anthony Waller, who is credited to An American Werewolf in Paris, sealed the rights with Skybound Entertainment.

They also report that the film is set to be produced by The Walking Dead’s David Alpert and Robert Kirkman through Skybound Entertainment for Universal Pictures.

Comicbook.com reported that Max Landis took to social media regarding the film’s remake, and though his Tweets were deleted, he did share this cryptic message after the original Tweets were taken down:

An American Werewolf In London follows two American college students backpacking through Britain. After a werewolf attacks them, one friend transforms into the beast due to the infamous full moon.
