Ahead of their Lollapalooza performance this weekend, Angels & Airwaves have shared a video for “Losing My Mind.”

The video sees frontman Tom DeLonge as his alter ego Disco, the brother of Boomer from blink-182’s iconic video for “First Date.”

Disco is joined by Rampage, a famous TikTok dancer, in the video. “This place, this fucking view?” Disco tells Rampage at the start of the video. “You could have that, too, if you let me help you help me get on TikTok.”

The duo then traverse through Las Vegas nightlife, dancing and performing at various iconic spots in front of casinos on the city’s strip as well as some nondescript places such as hotels and alleyways.

With the hope of going viral online, Disco sings on the streets while Rampage dances in his signature style around him. However, the plan quickly gets sidetracked, sparked by their van getting stolen and Rampage leaving with a girl.

“Losing My Mind” was heavily inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic and everything that happened during it in 2020.

“I wanted to write a song about a totally insane idea that would never happen," DeLonge says in a press release. "Like, what if our own country was being torn apart by racists, a pandemic and domestic terrorism, but all at the same time, you know, just normal made-up shit that would never happen.”

DeLonge discussed his thoughts on the band’s overall sound and why it's so unique in a 2019 interview with the band’s fan page, AVA Movement.

“What that means to me isn’t necessarily how fast the songs are or what the lyrics are saying,” DeLonge explained. “It’s the way you write punk music. The way you bring in electronic elements, synthesizers. The way you bring in crescendos. There are things that create dynamics. A lot of punk-rock music is start this way, end this way, so it’s this very one sound, one tone. Meanwhile, Angels & Airwaves ramps you up, brings you down, explodes and ramps you up again.”

The supergroup’s lineup currently consists of DeLonge (lead vocals/guitar/synths), David Kennedy (Box Car Racer/Hazen Street, guitar), Matt Rubano (Taking Back Sunday, bass) and Ilan Rubin (Nine Inch Nails, drums/guitar/backing vocals/synths).

“Losing My Mind” lyrics:

I won’t open these eyes
Like there’s chaos in my mind
Like dreaming of death or
That feeling that you get

When the disk is corrupt
When we’re running low on luck
Yeah, and everyone’s

Drugged up, tripping, at midnight
While howling at the moonlight
Dancing with knives like

The fire it will burn on
high at my day job
I tried to set some bombs off
While smoking some napalm
It makes me want to

Everyone has crossed the line
Now and then you will be fine

I live on the edge I must be losing my mind
Get out of my head, it’s now the scene of a crime
This world is on fire, and I am ice
Can’t balance things lately, I think we’re going to die
Must be losing my mind
I live in the edge I think I’m losing my mind
I’m staying in bed, to watch the cities ignite
The devil ain’t retired, he’s just thinking’ out loud
Everyone is crazy, and it’s freaking me out
Must be losing my mind

Stop now, what is this bullshit
I said we’re not alone, and
the government knows it

There’s idiots abound, and they’re
All fucking racist
I’ll put us back at ease
Cause we need more complacence
We’re all going to die

I live on the edge I must be losing my mind
Get out of my head, it’s now the scene of a crime
This world is on fire, and I am ice
Can’t balance things lately, I think we’re going to die

Must be losing my mind

I live on the edge of fuckin’ losing my mind
The voice in my head is now a fatal house fire
The devil made us beg, and then he took away the high
They say that we’re crazy, now it’s sounding about right
I must be losing my mind

I must be losing my mind
Help us we’re losing our mind
And if we want to survive
We’ll dance’ right through the end times
