As the name implies, Babymetal attempted to create their own genre, one that melded “cute” with metal. This became the inspiration for their album name Metal Resistance, too.
Lead singer Suzuka Nakamoto, or Su-metal, says the band follows the Fox God for their success. “The Fox God is the power that bestows us with revelations to help us with our activities as Babymetal,” says Su-metal. The band also discuss defying genre boundaries to make a more united music community and world!
