APTV Sessions: State Champs - "Playing God" (acoustic Paramore cover)
The members of State Champs thought it would be appropriate to cover a Paramore song for this APTV episode, since the band is one of their greatest influences.
The result is pretty great, with drummer Evan Ambrosio tapping a tambourine instead of a drumset, and vocalist Derek Discanio belting out Paramore's original lyrics.
“[They're] probably one of our favorite bands, collectively as a band,” says Discanio. “We chose this song because you're looking at five big Para-whores up here. We are straight fangirls, I would say.”
