If you enjoy the atmospheric weight of the Deftones and the melodic sensibilities of Elbow, Black Map are definitely you next favorite band.
Frontman Ben Flanagan recently caught up with APTV to discuss what influences the band to create rich soundscapes that would feel at home on “The Dark Side of the Moon” but groove just as heavily as anything off of “White Pony.” Flanagan also explained why the band’s “Run Rabbit Run” captures the moody and driving aggression that is at the root of Black Map along with the frenetic punk energy that has propelled the band into carving out a unique niche in the current hard rock climate.
