Mayday Parade: 10 years of 'A Lesson In Romantics'

APTV correspondent Nick Major caught up with Mayday Parade frontman Derek Sanders at the Los Angeles leg of their A Lesson in Romantics 10-year-anniversary tour. The two reflected on the band's career and growth over the last decade. 

“It wasn't… wildly successful right off the bat, you know?” says Sanders, in regards to the initial response of their debut full length. “It was just this gradual build, which I think is great. You're able to keep your perspective.” 

In celebration of the decade anniversary, the band made a music video for the track “Black Cat.” “That's a song we continue to play from that record that we never did a video for… I can't think of another band that's done a video for a song that's 10 years old,”he says.
