New Found Glory on their new album, baseball and The Story So Far

Weekend shows have become the norm for New Found Glory lately. APTV Los Angeles correspondent chats with Chad Gilbert and Jordan Pundik about what they’ve been up to and what’s happening in the off-time. Hint: new music!

“Every weekend [for the past five weeks], we’ve had a different show or festival,” says Gilbert. “In between that, we’re doing things to set up the new albums and get ready for tour.”

The guys also tell us about their new album and how writing as a four-piece has only built on the classic NFG mega-riff.

“All our fans love ‘My Friends Over You’ because [it] has this big guitar riff,” Gilbert says. “So, this time around because it’s just me and Ian, we were able to write those riffs more. So, this album was sort of: One man down, let’s make it sound like we have ten more guys.”

“If you like New Found Glory for a lot of the guitar riffs, then this will be your favorite. Every song has a riff you can air-guitar to.”

Pundik also weighed in on the message behind the impending album: “Whatever you’re dealing with in your life, if it’s shitty stuff and just trying to rise above that shitty stuff.”

Plus: What do the guys think The Story So Far, their frequent tourmates who were named after one of their songs? Hear about all of this and more in the video.
