Sleeping With Sirens on what you should know about their next record and more

Sleeping With Sirens caught up with APTV to tell you exactly what you need to know about their Gossip followup. SWS also recalled their first experiences signing autographs while waiting for corn dogs, the first albums they knew all of the lyrics to and explain their most recent regrets in this APTV exclusive.

The band began teasing a new album in September. This alone is thrilling, but the fact it’s throwing it back to a beloved album of theirs is even more epic.

“Well, that was fast—it’s a wrap!” Kellin Quinn tweeted. “2019 is gonna be a good year.”

Responding to a fan who says they’re ready for some “Let’s Cheers To This vibes,” Quinn simply offers up a ”You got it.”

Shortly after, Quinn responded to a second fan posing the same question: “Will there ever be new music that sounds like Let’s Cheers To This?”

Quinn assures the fan with a thumbs up emoji and “In drop A?,” which refers to the tuning of the guitars.

Let’s Cheers To This is the band’s sophomore effort, released in 2011 via Rise. The album gave us scene staples such as “Do It Now Remember It Later” and “If You Can’t Hang.”

The band later confirmed the tone of their upcoming music with Guitarist Jack Fowler saying that new music is on the horizon and that it is heavier than anything they have put out to date.

Quinn confirmed Fowler’s comments by telling a fan “And you will…” when they said they’d believe it when they hear it.

Additionally, another music industry insider said that he heard the upcoming recordings and “can confirm” that the band is heading back to their roots.

“I can confirm as I have heard clips as well, they are heading back towards their first two albums and it’s hard af,” Twitter user ChevyFlora says. “Just wait til y’all hear the breakdowns!!”

Sleeping With Sirens’ latest Gossip dropped in 2017, marking their first major label record with Warner Bros.
