As It Is tell us why they can't listen to "The Middle"

Every music lover has that one good song or album that’s ruined by a shitty time or person. For Patty Walters of As It Is, one of rock’s best songs of the century has been tarnished by the stigma that it’s the only hit the band turned out.
The As It Is frontman also weighed in on whether or not any early 2000s Emo bands have been tainted for him being compared to them after the band’s stark aesthetic change for “The Great Depression.”
Guitarist Ben Langford-Biss also discussed the song that is now just too sad to listen to because of its use in a beloved TV show’s most heart stomping moments in this APTV Exclusive.
And in case you didn’t know, As It Is fans are the literal best. Earlier this year, As It Is fans actually bought a star for Patty Walters.

As It Is fans Marianna (@W0UNDEDW0RLD) and Lara bought a star for vocalist Patty Walters and named it after his Twitter username, @pattyxwalters.

Marianna shared pictures of the certificate on Twitter, which show Walters’ star is located in the constellation of Virgo, the largest one in the sky.
The certificate also came with a heartwarming message from the fans
“You deserve the entire universe but we were only able to get this star so here you go,” they wrote.

We’re not crying, you’re crying.
