Good Charlotte reveal thoughts on music industry and their upcoming album
Dean Butterworth and Joel Madden of Good Charlotte give their thoughts on the state of the music industry and what led to their impending, new album in the latest APTV MI Conversation Series episode, hosted by Ryan J. Downey.
Both Butterworth and Madden believe it's important to be respectful to new musicians. “You have to start somewhere, and usually everyone starts on the ground,” says Madden.
When asked about the band's hiatus, Madden says that members of Good Charlotte needed time to find themselves and focus on family. Now the band is returning with their new album, and Madden says “it's one of the best records we've ever made. It's really new and interesting; it's fresh.”
