Ice Nine Kills discuss their onstage attire's horror movie motifs

Ice Nine Kills are killing it in the metalcore scene with their cinematic take on the genre, but they’re also well-known for their intense love of horror movies.

The band bring their passion for all things horror to the stage in their outfits and props which they’re discussing in a new APTV exclusive interview.

During the interview, the band discuss the pieces and parts of their horror homage stage attire in full detail. They break down their Freddy Krueger gloves, The Crow facepaint, a Friday The 13th and A Nightmare On Elm Street mashup sweater and far more.

Vocalist Spencer Charnas explains why he went with a high-end signature Freddy Krueger glove and jokingly plans its uses.

“I have a glove which is a signature Robert Englund right glove. I chose to go for the one that costs a lot of money because you can actually stab someone with it,” says Charnas. “I think I’ll probably end up stabbing someone in the front of the audience, hopefully not a security guard like last night.”

The band also discussed Charnas clothing brand Kleaver Clothing, guitarist Dan Sugarman’s uncle appearing in Friday The 13th Part 2 and other familial relations to horror movies.

Later in the interview, Sugarman talks his on-stage Leatherface outfit paying tribute to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre villain. Fellow guitarist Ricky Armellino also talks his yellow raincoat tribute to Georgie from IT and his red balloon-adorned guitars.
