What's On My Playlist: Underoath
In this APTV interview, Underoath's Spencer Chamberlain and Aaron Gillespie divulge what they've been listening to lately.
On the playlist are 90s favorites Nirvana, Alice In Chains and Rage Against The Machine. Also included were a couple of 90s curveballs like Vertical Horizon and Duncan Sheik. “You really had to be able to play to make music back then,” says Gillespie. “These days, you don't have to be good at music to make music.”
The two disagree on their feelings about the new the 1975 record. Gillespie's a huge fan, but Chamberlain isn't. “I think they're great at what they do, I respect it. It's just not my personal taste,” says Chamberlain. “It's so good. It's just not my kind of good.”
However, they both agreed that Twenty One Pilots' Blurryface is a brilliant record. Gillespie even recounts a time that their drummer, Josh Dun, called at the beginning of TOP's career.
