AP Exclusive: Hellogoodbye revamp lineup, plan fall tour
The Hellogoodbye camp has been remarkably quiet for much of 2008, but that is all about to change: AP can exclusively reveal that the band’s lineup has gone under a massive overhaul. Leaving the group is keyboardist Jesse Kurvink; he joins former bassist Marcus Cole (who quit the band in January) as an ex-member. Kurvink has been replaced by Joe Marro, former guitarist/keyboardist of the Early November. In addition, the band have added Ryan Daly on second guitar.
The band’s new lineup will debut this fall on a full. U.S. tour with opening acts Ace Enders And A Million Different People and nevershoutnever!; Say No More and PlayRadioPlay! will each appear on select dates TBA. Of note is the band’s decision to make this a "green" tour, choosing to use a vegetable oil-powered van as well as encouraging recycling at each venue and setting up vegan-friendly barbecues before each show.
Finally, the band are still working on their follow-up to 2006’s Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!, but there is no release date in sight yet.
