AFI gets new producer

Still in the recording process for their upcoming album, AFI have decided to change producers. David Bottrill is reportedly off the project, and Joe McGrath (Alkaline Trio, Morrissey, Green Day) has taken his place in the producer seat.

Despite the heavily circulating rumors, sources say that AFI have not ditched the material that they had been working on with Bottrill. They plan to continue with what they have (judging from bassist Hunter Burgan’s blog– that would be a lot of hard work to scrap!) and finish the project with McGrath.

AFI has worked with Joe McGrath on previous projects, such as 2003’s Sing The Sorrow and 2006’s Decemberunderground.
