In First Person breaking up

New Jersey screamo act In First Person is breaking up.

The band cited the departure of drummer/vocalist Vanessa Espinal as their reason.

"Rob and I made a decision to not look for another drummer," explained guitarist/vocalist Tom Schlatter, "mainly because at this point it would feel unnatural to push the band forth without Vanessa."

They released one full-length, 2006’s Lost Between Hands Held Tight (Paramnesia), during their tenure, as well as splits with Storm The Bastille (2008, Ape Must Not Kill Ape / Protagonist) and Titan (2008, Inkblot) and a few appearances on various compilations.
