Dan Andriano of Alkaline Trio announces new project, debut shows
Alkaline Trio bassist/vocalist Dan Andriano has announced that he is starting a new project called the Emergency Room. Andriano blogs, "I’ve been working on a lot of new songs and I’m pretty excited to get out and play them… And yes, I’ll probably be playing a couple Alkaline Trio songs. Maybe someday this will become a band, I do not know. What I do know is that for these shows, I will be all alone."
"These shows" are with some pretty big company, as Andriano will take to the stage with former Vagrant labelmates the Get Up Kids, as well as former Asian Man label boss Mike Park, and more. Dates below:
Thursday, October 22nd – The Balcony Bar @ The Troc – Philadelphia
Friday, October 23rd – Highline Ballroom – NYC – With Superdrag
Saturday, October 24th – The Majestic Theater – Detroit – With The Get Up Kids
Sunday, October 25th – Beat Kitchen – Chicago – With Mike Park
Andriano isn’t the only member of Alkaline Trio working on solo music; vocalist/guitarist Matt Skiba revealed he is working on a solo album for a 2010 release. Of course, Skiba’s also been busy with his one-off supergroup featuring members of Kill Hannah and Local H, too.
