I Wanna App You Like An Animal

After an initial delay, Apple has finally approved Nine Inch Nails‘ iPhone application, according to frontman Trent Reznor’s Twitter. He tweeted, "NEWS FLASH: Apple has approved the NIN iPhone app update. Should be live in a few hours."

Apple rejected an update to the app because it contained what the company deemed to be obscene content that comes from NIN’s 1994 opus, The Downward Spiral. Reznor fought back, citing that the problematic content (the song "Closer,") is also sold through iTunes. Reznor said, "You can buy The Downward Fucking Spiral on iTunes, but you can’t allow an iPhone app that may have a song with a bad word somewhere in it. Come on Apple, think your policies through and for fuck’s sake get your app approval scenario together.”

The approved app is the exact same one that had been rejected.
