The Strokes announce first show since 2006

The Strokes have revealed that they will headline one of the dates of next summer’s Isle Of Wight Festival. The three-day event is slated for June 11 through 13 on the U.K. island. Unless the Strokes announce any dates in the interim, it’ll mark the first time they’ve played together since October 2006. Bassist Nikolai Fraiture also tweeted that the band will begin work on a fourth album this January in Los Angeles. Also scheduled to play the festival are Jay-Z, Blondie and Pink.
