Arkansas Senator calls out venue for poster of him eating a baby

Arkansas Senator Jason Rapert didn’t appreciate the poster for metal band Eyehategod’s forthcoming Little Rock gig.

The politician took to Facebook to ask followers to boycott the venue where the show will take place over “hateful posts and pictures.”

Eyehategod have a concert scheduled at Vino’s Pizza-Pub-Brewery in Little Rock, Arkansas. They’re playing with Phobia, Deadbird and Seahog on May 24, and the event is already up on Facebook with a fair number of people interested in it.

However, one Arkansas native isn’t happy with the show poster: Jason Rapert. That’s because the republican Senator is depicted on it… eating a baby.

Rapert shared screenshots of the event on his Facebook page, urging friends and followers to boycott the venue.

“Friends, I rarely share with you the hateful posts and pictures that extreme liberals make about me to torment my stand for better moral values. But this time I want you to see what they have done,” he begins. “They use my image on an event without my permission and they depict me ‘biting a baby’ in my mouth.”

He continues, calling the picture “a wicked and evil depiction” and asking Vino’s to cancel the even and apologize for using the image.

“It is disrespectful of all who value babies lives and people of faith,” Rapert writes. “I urge you NOT to frequent Vinos and stand against their hateful rhetoric.”

More Arkansas satanists

You might have noticed Rapert also shared a screenshot from a Vice article about the Satanic Temple. As Metal Injection reports, the Senator had some issues with the church a couple months prior.

Arkansas satanists and atheists held protests against the State Capitol building placing a Ten Commandments monument on the Capitol grounds. They called for the separation of church and state. In the rally, members of the Satanic Temple even showed a statue of the Baphomet they’d also like placed on the building.

At the time, Rapert shared a statement. According to Metal Injection, he called protesters “outsiders who clearly choose to travel around the nation uplifting the profane and proclaiming extremely unorthodox views.”
