ARMNHMR show the “Universe Is Yours” with Micah Martin (the Zealots)

EDM duo ARMNHMR recruited the Zealots frontman Micah Martin for an epic genre crossover collaboration. The dance collective, which consists of Joseph Chung and Joseph Abella, are teaming up with AltPress to premiere the track ahead of its Nov. 22 debut.

Martin isn’t the first time ARMNHMR have delved into a genre-melding collaboration. In August, both artists joined Kayzo, a fellow EDM artist building traction in the rock world with a plethora of scene favorites accompanying him for remixes and originals, on separate tracks for his Unleashed album. ARMNHMR specifically appeared on “LA Never Says Goodbye” with late We Came As Romans vocalist Kyle Pavone, a feature that fulfilled his posthumous dreams.

Since then, the duo have released “Save You Now” (feat. Rico & Miella) and “Silver Lining” (feat. KARRA). Together with “Universe Is Yours,” the tracks are one of many among their debut album, The Free World, that’s set to drop via Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak in early 2020.

As for Martin, the vocalist released a debut full-length with the Zealots in 2018 and has appeared on several one-off singles. In addition to the Kayzo collab that made his album, Martin’s relationship with the artist goes back further. In 2017, they worked with Slander on “Holy.” Ahead of Kayzo’s album, they reunited yet again on Sum 41 drummer Frank Zummo’s debut solo track, “The Less We Know.” Moving on to a handful of other tracks before this current debut, Martin’s wish with “Universe Is Yours” is to spread a positive message.

“No matter what obstacles life can throw at you, remember that you are loved,” he says. “This universe was given to us, so make it your own. Be strong and show the world your full potential.”

With the new track, ARMNHMR really homed in on that positive side of the darkness, setting the sentiment across an uplifting, explosive beat.

“There are times when you just want to give up—when everything seems to be falling out of order,” the duo says. “’The Universe Is Yours’ is the response to those cries for help—there’s always someone for you. There’s always a way out.”
