As It Is share retro, jazz-inspired takes on third reimagined EP

As It Is just dropped their third EP in The Great Depression: Reimagined series that shows the band delving into jazz, electronic and more. 

Earlier this week, the band announced the third EP. Back in March, they told fans that they’d be reimagining their 2018 album in a series of four parts released as separate EPs.

The first EP was Denial: Reimagined and then in May they dropped Anger: Reimagined. Each record contained three tracks, and is described as “an elaborate and eclectic reinterpretation of our most ambitious and important record to date,” by the band.

Thn, they announced Bargaining: Reimagined teasing that fans will not be expecting the sound of the EP.

Now, that EP is here and they were right — we had no idea what we were in for. 

Bargaining: Reimagined shows the band totally transforming “The Reaper” into a jazzy-swing song. Then, on “The Two Tongues (Screaming Salvation)” they take on this Owl City-esque that is almost ambient. “The Truth I’ll Never Tell” goes

When the band shared the EP on Twitter for the first time, they told fans to “get (their) jazz hands out”.
