Rock Feed spoke to a source familiar with the situation that stated Lambesis is planning an As I Lay Dying revival, with the frontman being the only returning member. The source says new members will be in place at the time of the return, and new material is in the works.

In a recent report by Blabbermouth, rumors also suggested the band was “working on new material.”

As I Lay Dying formed in 2000 by founding member Tim Lambesis, with the full lineup being cemented in 2001. The band went on to produce six albums by 2013 before calling it quits after Lambesis was incarcerated in 2014 for conspiracy to commit murder.

Earlier this year, AP reached out to the California Department Of Corrections And Rehabilitation where a representative confirmed that he was discharged Dec. 17, 2016. He was discharged to the Division of Adult Parole Operations.

According to someone familiar with the story, back in 2013, Lambesis asked a person at the gym if they knew any hitmen. That person from the gym then called the police, who then set up a sting. Lambesis was arrested after giving an undercover officer an envelope with pictures of his wife of eight years, her address, alarm codes and $1000.

Back in 2014, AP had a world exclusive interview with Lambesis days before he was sentenced to six years in prison. You can listen to the interview here

Lambesis’ As I Lay Dying bandmates—along with Shane Blay of Oh, Sleeper—formed Wovenwar during Lambesis' absence and have released two full-length albums, Wovenwar and Honor is Dead.
