Asking Alexandria to start working on new album

Here’s exciting news: Asking Alexandria is set to begin work on their follow-up to 2017’s self-titled album.

The album will mark the band’s sixth studio effort, and, according to the band’s frontman Danny Worsnop, it will also mark “a new chapter and a new future for Asking Alexandria.”

The frontman shared the news in a post to his Instagram, where he shared the news of the band’s progress, in a heartfelt post to celebrate his return to the band (which happened two years to do the day he posted the video.)

“It was two years ago today that we announced my return to @askingalexandria.

That time has flown by. It feels like it were yesterday that I walked into the studio with @benjaminpaulbruce and @mattg00d to write what became the most successful record of our career to date.

We went out on huge tours with @shinedown@godsmack, and a co-headliner with @blackveilbrides. We celebrated hit singles with Into The Fire and Alone In A Room. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, and we’ve bled… more importantly we’ve figured out what’s next.

We’re jumping right back in to work on a new album, a new chapter, and a new future for @askingalexandria.”

In other band-related news, Asking Alexandria recently scored their third top 10 active rock radio hit. The achievement comes after “Alone In A Room” moved to No. 9 during the week of Oct. 3.

Asking Alexandria will be hitting the road early next year for a supporting run with Shinedown and Papa Roach.
