At The Drive-In part ways with guitarist, founding member days before reunion tour

Just five days before the beginning of a much anticipated reunion tour, iconic post-hardcore group At The Drive-In has announced that guitarist Jim Ward will not be joining them.

“As our ship prepares for voyage, we announce that Jim Ward will not be joining us on future journeys. We wish him well and are excited to see you soon,” the band wrote in a Facebook post.

Ward is a founding member, and fans who purchased tickets for the tour are not pleased that they won't be seeing the original lineup. 

“Jim was a huge part of the magic of At The Drive-In, really shitty how you guys marketed this emphasizing everyone will be a part of it. I saw this coming and I'm glad for now that I didn't get tickets. It's not At The Drive-In without Jim,” commenter Nikhil Misra wrote. Plenty of other commenters echoed the sentiment.

Despite Ward's departure, the band still has new music in the works.
