As previously reported by AP, Carlile was flown to Costa Rica in June to receive surgery for spinal cysts. Now back in the States, Carlile has issued a series of tweets concerning his condition, ultimately stating, “This is the longest I've gone in 10 years without playing music/touring.”
“I have been working on new music though,” Austin says. “One of the only things that has kept me sane.”
