Avenged Sevenfold get epic: Read the lyrics to their new track "Nobody"

Today, Avenged Sevenfold finally made their grand return. As the metalcore band announced Life Is But a Dream (out June 2), their eighth studio album and first release since 2016’s The Stage, they also shared the powerhouse of a single “Nobody.”

As A7X are known to dive into intense, metaphor-heavy lyrics, “Nobody” is no different. Over its thrilling riffs, vocalist M. Shadows relays an epic, heady tale of existentialism — which speaks to the record’s theme of being inspired by the philosophy of Albert Camus.
