Fan thinks ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ trailer was actually trailer for ‘Endgame’

We love a good fan theory, and one Reddit user has changed our whole perspective about Avengers: Endgame.

One user u/BigMartin58 has taken to the site to explain that they think the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War was actually the trailer for Avengers: Endgame. They gave a lengthy explanation as to why and it just might make sense.

To start, there is a theory that Endgame that time travel is a thing, so if that’s true this theory is even more likely.

The theory starts by saying the first minute of the trailer is the same between both films, but the first change occurs when Tony Stark is shown wearing regular clothes in the trailer. However, in Infinity War, he was suiting up. This could mean that in Endgame, he decides not to fight.

The other difference is when there is a scene with Captain America. In the film, he’s very visible but in the trailer he’s not. This could mean, according to the theory, that he wants to stay hidden longer instead of jumping into fighting.

There is also a scene in the trailer where Thanos is putting the blue Space Stone into the infinity gauntlet. He already had the stone in Infinity War, but this could mean that in Endgame the Avengers stopped Thanos for obtaining the stone.

The final change is that in the trailer, the Avengers were running together with Hulk. However, in the film, their positions are swapped and Hulk isn’t there.

To see if it holds weight, watch the trailer below and determine the differences for yourself.

Avengers: Endgame premieres in theaters on April 26. Marvel is also releasing Captain Marvel on March 8 and Spider-Man: Far From Home on July 5.
