Every Time I Die

Every Time I Die are a hard-sounding band, so it’s only fitting that this fan’s tattoo is extremely hard looking. The pink logo and snake are nice callbacks to their album art. Plus, going with a half sleeve proves this fan is in it for the long haul.

Slipknot

There are thousands of Slipknot tattoos out in the world—some good and some bad. This fan went above and beyond most with a full back dedicated to the masked metal band. Fitting in the nine members of their most well-known lineup, the portraits surround the iconic tribal logo.

Avenged Sevenfold

A lot of Avenged Sevenfold fans have tattoos of the band’s classic bat skull logo. But this one got a bit more creative while incorporating Hail To The King imagery. The dedication to the band is clear with the top of his chest being covered, but it’s vague enough that people who aren’t fans can just see it as a good looking tattoo.

Slayer

There are no shortage of Slayer fans sporting tattoos dedicated to them. Their eagle logo with the boxed font marks one of the most notable. Sure, tons of people have small Slayer eagles on other parts of their bodies, but this person is flexing their love of the thrash icons on a whole new level with a giant belly tat.

Converge

Converge are one of the most influential hardcore bands ever, and their Jane Doe artwork is perfect for a tattoo. The placement of this one takes some serious dedication though as they’ll be staring directly at it in nearly every mirror they look at. And if they plan to build a full chest piece, they’ll be doing so around their ode to the band.

Misfits/Wu-Tang Clan

Much like Iron Maiden, Slayer, Kiss and other big-name rock and metal bands, Misfits tattoos are almost as common as a Sailor Jerry knockoffs at this point. However, getting the iconic fiend skull tattooed on your hand is true dedication. Mixing it with the legendary Wu-Tang Clan logo was a solid idea to mash this fan’s love for multiple genres into a tattoo that will be one of the first things people see on them forever.

The Dillinger Escape Plan

The Dillinger Escape Plan will forever be remembered as one of the most chaotic bands of all time, and this fan has proven he’s a lifer for the experimental hardcore band. Pulling in their sweet but classy looking dripping feather from One Of Us Is The Killer, the fan adds massive script over the chest. The result makes for an incredible dedication to the band with nods to the hard and soft sides of their music.

Thy Art Is Murder

Thy Art Is Murder may be a fairly new band still in comparison to some of the other artists on this list, but their fans are dedicated nonetheless to the deathcore leaders. Not only is this tattoo of their logo massive, it’s really heavy in black and couldn’t have been easy to sit through with it being placed in a tough area.

Deftones

Deftones’ album Diamond Eyes has an incredibly stunning shot of a white owl. Despite white ink being difficult to work with, the artist for this tattoo made the cover really pop out with just shading. Sure, most people will likely just think it’s a very nice owl but any well-versed Deftones fan will be able to spot the shape and image a mile away.

My Chemical Romance

Every emo kid with a My Chemical Romance tattoo is probably more stoked to show it off since their return. This Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge ink boasts incredible placement. Splitting the album cover in half across two body parts was a solid idea. Going with thighs over arms makes sure it still looks complete without awkwardly lining up to show people.
