As surprising (or unsurprising) as it may be, bands and booze seem to just go together, and there are plenty of bands that have made this dream a reality. So grab a glass and take a peek at 17 bands that have that have their own branded alcohol.
Pennywise “Pennywiser” beer

Southern California punks Pennywise have partnered with Lost Coast Brewery to produce “Pennywiser” beer, which will be available as a limited release in select Southern California stores, bars and restaurants in early September, with expanded distribution in the coming months.
Mastodon “Black Tongue” beer
In collaboration with Hope For The Day, Mastodon will be hosting a special headlining show in Chicago on Sept. 9 in support of the organization’s work with suicide prevention. Plus, the show will see the pre-release of the band’s new “Crack The Skye” beer, named after the band’s 2009 album that took inspiration from drummer Brann Dailor’s sister Skye, who died from suicide at 14, according to ThePRP. It’ll get an official release Sept. 10, on World Suicide Prevention Day, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to Hope For The Day as well.
Iron Maiden Trooper Ale

Iron Maiden not only have their own beer—but they also have their own beer site: ironmaidenbeer.com. They’re currently most known for their Trooper Ale, named after the Iron Maiden song and developed by vocalist (and ale enthusiast) Bruce Dickinson.
The band also just announced that they’re producing another new beer: “Hallowed,” which is set to be released soon and will only be available for a four-month run, according to Billboard.
Dada Life Champagne
DJ duo Dada Life unveiled their Dada Life Champagne—and they’re reportedly the first musical act to release a champagne to their namesake. A traditional blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay, it’s currently available for purchase on their site—DadaLifeChampagne.com—that’s amazing to drink and spray.
In Flames “In Flames No13” gin

In Flames released a limited-quantity craft gin called “In Flames No13,” which, according to Metal Injection, features frontman Anders Fridén’s signature flavor. There are only 2,300 available, though, and you can order it here.
Deftones Phantom Bride and Swerve City IPAs

Deftones are back in the business of beer: The band launched their Phantom Bride IPA by Belching Beaver Brewery, which says the flavors were handpicked by Deftones frontman Chino Moreno and named after the song with the same name.
They are now debuting a new IPA beer, called Swerve City, which Metal Injection explains is a “tropical fruit bomb with a juice-like finish,” named after the opening track from the bands 2012 album Koi No Yokan. It’s set to be available at some point this summer.
Killswitch Engage “Alive Or Just Brewing” beer

Killswitch Engage celebrated the 15th anniversary of Alive Or Just Breathing right with a limited release beer named “Alive Or Just Brewing,” an American IPA that uses “white wheat and flaked oats to add additional body resulting in a full, juicy hop experience,” according to Cigar City Brewing.
Sammy Hagar and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine’s Santo Puro “Mezquila”

Sammy Hagar and Adam Levine became friends over their shared love of tequila, according to their brand site santomezquila.com, and they combined mezcal with tequila in a “revelation” that created a higher spirit.
Hanson Mmmhops
Ah, Hanson. The brothers run Hanson Brothers Beer Company, a small beer business founded by “three brothers and friends who are passionate about craft beer,” their site explains. Though it’s mostly just available in their home city of Tulsa, Oklahoma, it’s not totally impossible to get your hands on the pale ale at Oklahoma-local liquor stores (and a few select bars, retailers and restaurants across the country!).
Van Halen’s Sammy Hagar’s Beach Bar Rum
Sammy Hagar developed a white rum that can be sipped “neat or over ice”—going as far to say that it’s one of the finest white rums made today.
AC/DC Australian Hardrock lager

Rockers AC/DC released an Australian Hardrock lager that “fires up your tongue like TNT,” and it’s available for order here. In addition to their alcohol ventures, their site explains that they also have an energy drink for those who need a little extra boost in their day.
And these aren’t the only bands that have delved into the world of alcohol. The following artists had their hand at some limited-run drinks that we only wish we could have gotten our hands on.
The Menzingers “After The Party” beer with Neshaminy Creek
There’s no better way to celebrate an album release than with a new beer, right? That’s what the Menzingers did to celebrate After The Party, teaming up with Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company. Properly named “After The Party,” the beer was available for a limited time following the record’s Feb. 3 release.
Bayside’s “Bayside Black” beer
Bayside launched their own IPA to celebrate the release of Vacancy last fall. The band teamed up with Oskar Blues for the “Bayside Black” beer that was limited to 100 barrels, according to Anti Music. If you were lucky enough to get your hands on this dark malt while it lasted, we’re sure you were in for a treat.
Queen’s “Queen Bohemian Lager”
Queen created their own lager, appropriately named “Queen Bohemian Lager,” it’s a Czech-style pilsner that was designed by the band’s late singer Freddie Mercury. It’s not available to ship to the U.S., but if you are UK-based, you are in luck! Amazon has the beer in-stock.
Jimmy Eat World's Futures beer
Jimmy Eat World made a special beer to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their 2004 album Futures. The beer included 10 ingredients, including prickly pear cactus.
Violent Soho’s “The East Coast Crusher”
Violent Soho released “The East Coast Crusher” in collaboration with the brewers at Stone & Wood for a pilot brew—meaning an extremely limited batch—of their beer that explodes “with an array of flavors,” according to Music Feeds. What’s cooler? They had a series of launch parties for the beer.
Gwar “Arctic Snow” vodka
The 7th Annual GWAR B-Q featured plenty of music alongside other fun surprises, including a signature GWAR vodka. Teaming up with James River Distillery, they unleashed “Arctic Snow,” an 80-proof potato vodka that is sure to get you drunk, their site explains.
