Bayside surprise fans with new song, 'Vacancy' 7-inch, acoustic tour—listen
Coming off of the release of their latest record Vacancy back in August, Bayside have gifted us a special surprise less than two months later.
The New York rockers announced a 7-inch also titled Vacancy, which features an unreleased track called “This Could Be Our Lives”, as well as two acoustic renditions of songs from their seventh album, providing alternate versions of “The Ghost” (featuring Chris Conley of Saves The Day) and “Not Fair” (digital only).

In addition to this announcement, the group will also embark on an acoustic tour around the Northeast, which will feature Hawthorne Heights as the opening act. The dates can be seen below.

December 17 Poughkeepsie, NY The Chance
December 18 Lancaster, PA Chameleon Club
December 20 Wilmington, DE World Café Live
December 21 Baltimore, MD Ottobar
December 22 Asbury Park, NJ House of Independents

Those who are familiar with Bayside will remember that the group put out an acoustic album back in 2005, and speaking on the release of the 7-inch, frontman Anthony Raneri noted that an acoustic touch only adds versatility to Bayside’s sound.
“We have always set out to be a band that had many layers to our music,” explains Raneri. “We’ve always considered ourselves a punk band that wrote pretty complex songs that really stray from the standard straight forward punk song. Ever since our acoustic record in 2005, acoustic versions of our songs have been a great tool in our arsenal to showcase the depths of our songs without the layers of distortion.”
