Beartooth want you to stay inside and they have the merch to help you
Midwest metal heroes Beartooth are putting their money where people's lives are. The band have put together "stay at home" merch bundles. The proceeds will benefit the Grammy Awards' MusicCares COVID-19 Relief Fund.
The Beartooth "stay at home" kit consists of a specially designed hoodie, fleece blanket, deck of cards, bottle opener and a tote bag. If you're self-isolating at home with someone, you can curl up in the blanket and play cards. If you're by yourself, wear the hoodie, pop the tops of bottles and play solitaire. You'll be doing it for the best reasons while repping one of the country's finest bands.
The MusiCares COVID-19 fund was created to help people in the music industry get by during the pandemic. The MusicCares COVID-19 charity directs funds to people who are out of work due to the cancellation of tours and live events. There are also pertinent links to other resources musicians or workers in related fields can use. They are broken down geographically and by specific need.
Beartooth are joining other bands and companies in the underground music community in paying it forward during the pandemic. Avenged Sevenfold offered free merchandise to fans who stayed home for one week. Thursday recently marked all of their unused merch to be recycled as protective gear for medical professionals on the frontline. Black Veil Brides tour manager Frank Fanelli started the Nomad Project to help a lot of his friends out in a time of great need. Bandcamp waived its digital distribution fees for a weekend, raising over $4 million for artists. Ice Nine Kills created a special benefit shirt, as well.
While the generosity of this community is appreciated, it also sends a message, loud and clear. We as musicians, staff and fans are truly all in this together.
