Chicago-based Belmont are debuting a music video for their new song, “Step Aside.”

The band explains that the song is all about removing someone toxic from your life, and the video bursts with energy—and makes us want to hit up a house show ASAP.

“It was a super fun experience!” vocalist Taz Johnson explains. “We set up in [guitarist] Sam [Patt]'s apartment and jammed all day, then had a party at night. Plus, working with Michael Herrick is always a great time.”

He said that the song was “a blast to record,” and they promise the track will be played on their upcoming tour with Capstan next month.
