10 food items from TV shows and movies we wish were real

We’ve spent a good portion of our dreams imagining what it’s like to eat fictional food items from TV shows and movies. Everyone wants to know what a Krabby Patty tastes like or what eating the three-course gum from Charlie And The Chocolate Factory feels like.

Shows and movies have given us no shortage of fictional food items that we can only dream of eating. We’ve gathered 10 foods we wish we could try for real, but beware—this post might make you hungry.

Krabby Patties from SpongeBob SquarePants

The Krabby Patty from SpongeBob SquarePants is the No. 1 fictional food we want to try. What makes it such a special burger? What is in Mr. Krabs’ secret formula? We can only imagine, but we’ll never truly be able to know.

Pop’s shakes from Riverdale

Anyone who’s seen Riverdale is familiar with Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe and all the classics the characters dine on there. The most iconic item is the milkshakes, which they’re constantly sucking down over deep conversation, and we absolutely have to try one.

Krunch Time candy from Jimmy Neutron

It’s the perfect candy with every flavor, so of course we want to know what that experience is like. Every character who tried it on Jimmy Neutron went nuts over it, and while gummy worms and chocolate bars are good, we’ve never had quite the same reaction.

Big Kahuna Burger from Pulp Fiction

We mostly want to try this because Samuel L. Jackson made it look cool, but a Hawaiian burger also sounds delicious. While we could mimic something similar at home, we’ll never be able to try it from the not-so-real fast-food joint in Pulp Fiction.

Spaghetti Tacos from iCarly

This could either be a horribly wrong or completely genius idea. It’s pretty simple—you put spaghetti into taco shells, but it just seems so right and wrong at the same time. We need to try it, but only if Carly, Sam and Freddie are serving them up to us like on iCarly

Dessert spaghetti from Elf

It’s not that we think a plate of pasta drenched in maple syrup and candy sounds good, but we’ve always just needed to know what the hell this tastes like. Plus, we’d probably be on another level of hyper after ingesting all this sugar for breakfast, just like Buddy in Elf

Jawbreaker from Ed, Edd N Eddy

If all the kids in the cul-de-sac are always seeking this mysterious candy, it has to be amazing. It’s not that we haven’t tried a jawbreaker in our lives—it’s that we haven’t tried these specific ones in Ed, Edd N Eddy, and that’s the problem.

The gray stuff from Beauty And The Beast

This one from Beauty And The Beast is probably the fictional food item everyone is most curious about because what actually is it? It’s just gray—that’s it, and we need to investigate more by eating it ourselves.

Kevin’s famous chili from The Office

We want to try this chili because the scene in The Office with Kevin dumping an entire pot everywhere is a visual that is forever ingrained into our brains. Kevin also probably makes a delicious chili in general that’s worth trying.

Instant McDonald’s from Spy Kids

This was the stuff of dreams when we were younger—McDonald’s in an instant. Fast food is already pretty quick, but Spy Kids took it to another level.
