Better Off stream third ‘Milk’ single, “This Day Will Never End”
Plain and simple, Better Off are a band that should be on your radar. With a sound evolved since 2013's (I Think) I'm Leaving, the singles released thus far from their forthcoming follow-up, titled Milk, bring to mind a mixture of Citizen's Youth and Your Favorite Weapon-era Brand New. Following two promising cuts in "Whatever, I Don't Care" and "Dresser Drawer," Better Off are now streaming a third taste of the LP with "This Day Will Never End."
"This is by far my favorite song on the record," says vocalist/guitarist Luke Granered. "One thing that I really like about it, is that the chorus isn't consistent – the melody stays the same, but lyrics change, the length of it changes, and then the end of it, obviously, is this mantra saying, ‘This day grows old, but will never end’...and that is the exact feeling that I've felt anytime that I’ve dealt with depression or anxiety, and that’s so descriptive of that." Granered adds, "The main lyrical content of the song though, is about looking back and kind of wondering if you did things right, and if you have regrets about anything and what you could have changed – and if it even would have been better if you had changed those things."
You can stream "This Day Will Never End" below and pre-order Milk through Equal Vision Records before its official release on September 11. You can also catch Better Off on tour with Bayside and the Early November well into September. Those dates are below as well.
